SAP Modules - Quick Notes
SAP has several modules such as FI, CO, MM, PP, SD, PM, PS, QM, SM, HR, BW, APO, Basis, ABAP/4 as below:

Basis SAP Projects and the people work on those projects are generally categorised into two groups, Techincal and Functional.
Technical side includes ABAP, Database Adminstration, Transport Management, Security, Authorisations and so on.
Basis is the sub-group of Technical people, who take care of all technical components of the system except for ABAP. Basis group consits Project Database Adminstrators (D.B.A.s).
ABAP/4 ABAP stands for Advanced Business Application Programing, /4 is for Generation Language. SAP is coded in ABAP.
SAP, an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software product, is capable of integrating multiple business applications. Each application is unique for it’s specific business area. All applications integrated in the system update and process trainsactions online that is in real time mode. SAP is so professionally designed that it features the capability to be configured to match with any business technical and operational needs .

- Transaction SPRO - this is the main tree for all the configuration.
Function Keys:
- F1 - Help
- F4 - Possible entries or matchcode for the field you are accessing
- F5 - Selection screen
- F7 - Previous screen
- F8 - Next screen
- F9 - Technical info
- CTRL+X - Cut
- CTRL+C - Copy
- CTRL+V - Paste
