HOW TO remove NT security from RightFax administrator account
You cannot log on with the RightFax administrator account with the correct password and you dont have any other administrator account created in Rightfax? then this post is for you.
What actually happens is like this, the Active Directory user account synchronization that is setup between the Rightfax server and Active directory treats the RightFax administrator account as a domain administrator account due to the exact user name being used “administrator” and in-turn maps it to the Active Directory administrators account by enabling the “NT Authentication” check in the user properties in RightFax.
To remove the NT security from RightFax administrator account,
- Install Admin tools from RF software CD.
- Go to command prompt
- Change directory to c:\program files\rightfax\adminutilites
- Run the following command (without quotes) “chguserNTsec -f faxserver -u administrator NONTSECURITY” (Where faxserver is your faxerver name)
