Could also add Techinline Remote Desktop (www.techinline.com) to the list. Although it's not entirely free, they have a free trial account and the pricing structure is probably the most reasonable from what I've seen out there on the market.

Client is the program to have different groups of data in a single data base. 'Client' can be used to separate one company’s date from another. It can also be used for separating data for multiple companies or multiple divisions.

SAP instance is a group of sources i.e., memory,
work process etc.

Instance are defined during the installation of SAP system. Instance in SAP system is also referred to as Server, Application Server.

An SAP system can consist of single instance with one centralized server or a client/server system with two or more separate instances.

Hello,

Thanks for the info regarding SAP.I am confused regarding the difference between the clinet and Instance. If SAP WAS ABAP/JAVA is installed ,there will be central instance, data base instance and central service instance, dialog instance (optional).Similarly the same SAP WAS can be installed for QA ,PRD.Is the client for each system is created within the respective instances by basis admin? Please explain me in simpler term
